Winning the Lotto jackpot is coming as a life-changing experience for the winner. A resident of Limerick City has decided to hang up his boots a little too early. He will be purchasing a new property. After winning a grand Lotto jackpot amounting to € 5.8 million. The Limerick resident won the sweepstakes last Saturday. Initially, the winner was thinking of staying anonymous. The individual bought the ticket a €5 Quickpick from General Post Office (GPO). It is situated on Cecil Street in Limerick on 25th November which was a Saturday.
The winning numbers for these tickets are 4, 16, 18, 24, 32, and 35. The holder of the ticket bearing the number 46 was the bonus winner. However, the top winner came forward yesterday and appeared upbeat while he was taking his seat in the winner’s room of National Lottery. He went on record by iterating that he first wanted to settle the mortgage and then go on an extended holiday in a sunny tourist spot after he was done with having a good time in Barbados during Christmas.
The winner also added that he was looking forward to resigning from his job and retiring for good. He had never thought about retirement before but following the unexpected windfall, the option was now a possibility. After buying the ticket, he had almost forgotten about it till he tuned into Limerick Live 95FM and it eventually it dawned on him that the host was discussing Limerick Lotto jackpot. He rushed outdoors and surely his heart may have missed a beat when he was holding the winning ticket!
