Lottery funding helps various clubs in remodeling their infrastructure. Proper funding program not only helps the club but it further benefits the community as a whole. Bethesda Rugby Club can now successfully change the design of the rooms and community halls with the help of the funds provided by Big Lottery Fund. Along with this project, there are seven other projects that are receiving support from BLF. The club is regularly used by sports organizations, schools and scouts for recreation purposes.
It is a one year grant that will further help in installation of a lift, increase floor space and focus on refurbishment. Capital cost is significant for renovation as well as creating additional spaces. The director of the Rugby Club says that they are delighted with the news. He says that the plan was there, but the club was finding it hard to meet the expenses. The authorities can now look forward to adding extra rooms as well as renovate the old ones. £249,982 is not a small amount as it can work wonders for small clubs to improve their infrastructure.
Catering the needs of the broader community is not an easy task. It further calls for additional funds as well as new community centers. To meet the requirements of different groups, one needs to plan out a proper project. It will not only be limited to the sporting needs as it also plans on focusing on business development. Local schools use the club for organizing different events. Now it will be easier to provide the students with a better ground for their Rugby events.
Big Lottery Fund’s Wales Committee member, Rona Aldrich says that these projects bring a difference in the lives of many people. The lottery is focusing on using player’s contribution to help in the development of different communities.
