Lottery grants are one of the best things that can happen to the society. Big Lottery Fund is contributing to a housing society for people above the age of 55. Though it is a small contribution of £2,000, it means a lot to people who live in this housing society. Newydd Housing Association has more than 60 people aged more than 55. Everyone from the association organized a party to celebrate this contribution. The party took place in Barry Memorial Hall on September 14th.
Big Lottery Fund continues to make its contribution to different sections present in the society. It further extends its hands to people that work with a clear motive to focus on developmental work. Along with its contribution to innovative projects, it provides support to associations that work for the good of the society. Present in Vale, Newydd Housing Association runs the independent living scheme. Jane Hutt, the AM of Vale gave the award to the tenants. She says that it is a humbling experience to be a part of this wonderful celebration. It creates a feeling of togetherness and helps in fighting with loneliness. The money will be further used to improve the life of old people in our society.
Big Lottery Fund conducts its research to provide funds where they are needed the most. It went through the research made by YouGov that shows very few people come close to celebrate togetherness in the community. The fund aims to change this aspect of the society. Newydd aims to create more housing schemes to further improve the present condition of the society. It helps to get rid of loneliness as well as helps in getting people together.
A tenant of Elis Fisher Court, Maud Mackowiak is elated with this step from Big Lottery Fund. Elis Fisher Court is a housing society that is under the ownership of Newydd. Maud says that this party will further increase awareness among different sections of the society. More and more people will organize events to meet up with people from various communities.
