National Lottery Grants help to different communities for improving infrastructure. The Bumblebee Conservation Trust in Britain has received a grant of £720,000. Heritage Lottery Fund is providing support to transform this Peak District into a Haven. It is an important project that will protect the Bilberry bumblebees of Derbyshire region. This funding is further motivating other people to stay motivated about their projects. In recent times there are many creative projects in the UK that are getting a big support from HLF.
The grants are mainly used for projects that aim for infrastructural, historic, artistic and educational development in the UK. Authorities further focus on connecting the present generation with the past generation. Conservation projects are also an important aspect that keeps the environment healthy. With this funding, the Bumblebee project can now formally start its three-year pollinating project. It is important to protect the decline in the count of bumblebees in the region. Along with Derbyshire, there are other Boroughs like Chesterfield, Chatsworth as well as Green Space that require this support.
First and foremost the action will focus on taking help from locals to boost wild bee population. It will be done by creating buzzing communities, monitoring bumblebee population as well as providing flower-rich habitat. It is important to create awareness among students and youngsters to make this project a success. The bees play an important role in providing a support to moorland plants. Pollination is an important part of the environment as it keeps the plants alive for centuries.
The Peak Project Manager is really happy that he can finally start working on the project. He is thankful to National Lottery for all the support. The manager further looks forward to working in partnership with other communities to keep the environment healthy. He also mentions that bumblebees need us as much as we need them.
