Heritage Lottery Fund is rewarding another project in the UK. This time it is a Girl Guide group from West Norfolk. It has the largest collection of Girlguiding collection in the UK. The memorabilia consists of scrapbooks, badges, uniforms and scrapbooks. This Lottery fund will further enable the authorities to present the memorabilia to the public. Improving the infrastructure as well as presenting the artifacts is important. This project requires funds that can help them in the present the 100-year old collection. The collection has already grossed more than 10,000 artifacts. There are letters from famous scouts like Robert Baden-Powell as well as Agnes Baden-Powell.
The plan includes an outreach as well as learning program. This program will aim to be more accessible and it will further help in making the guiding process easier. In the proposal, the authorities are also including a plan to focus on countrywide heritage trail. They will be helping people who suffer from dementia by further creating care centers. A representative of Girlguiding, Helen Green says that everyone is thrilled to receive this reward. She plans on using the money wisely to display the creative work of Girlguiding in an innovative way.
Girlguiding is celebrating this reward and further, they plan to improve the experience of visitors. There are many volunteers who take part in this group. It is the contribution of each and every volunteer to help the community in achieving this success. The spokesperson from Girlguiding says that she plans to make the history more accessible to youngsters.
