Winning the lottery jackpot is an overwhelming event. People often don’t know how to manage their new fortune and ending up with nothing.
When the Jackpots are huge, such as those that were offered recently by PowerBall and Mega Millions, It’s very easy for winners to lose their heads.
Sometimes it will end in bankruptcy, but other times it will end in very weird purchases.
We have gathered a list of the craziest, bizarre and sometimes cool things that lottery winners ever spent their money on.
- A female wrestling TV show
Jonathan Vargas thought it was a great idea to spend all his PowerBall winning money ( $35 Million) on just two things: a house for him and his mother and his very own TV show.
He called the show “Wrestlicious” and it contained women wrestling inside a pink ring.
The show didn’t turn out as the hit Vargas hoped it will be and it soon went off the air.
2. Demolition Derby track
Mickey Carroll Is a very good example of a very bed lotto winner. The ex-convict had won £10million in the British national lottery when he was 19 years old. He soon started throwing away money on holidays ( including 100 trips to Spain), jewelry, drugs, and booze.
What really pissed his neighbors off, and sent the police more than once to his villa, was the demolition derby-style car racing sessions that he built in his backyard.
It took him less than 10 years to burn out all his money. He is now penniless and works at a cookies factory in Scotland.
3. New Knees (?!?!)
So this is a nice story. We didn’t make that up, swear!
Shortly After scooping £2million on UK national lottery, Tonny and Greta Dodd, have rushed to a private clinic to replace their old, worn-out knees for brand new ones.
